San Bartolomeo Piemont

San Bartolomeo
The Piedmont region is known for its great red wines. Meanwhile, two white wine types have made speeches. One is the Roero Arneis and the other is the Gavi. But above all, it is the Gavi, who has made world-wide access to top gastronomy in recent years. One of the top producers is the mini vineyard San Bartolomeo from Alessandria. The winery is run today by Fulvio Bergaglio, his Gavis are a godsend for this region. Not far from the town of Gavi, in the direction of Rovereto, in 1916 Bergaglio Giuseppe, the grandfather of the current owner, acquired the business of the Marquis Orso Serra and since then it has been passed down from generation to generation. The family business has 21 hectares of vineyards facing south. Fulvio Bergaglio, the current owner, produces exclusively Gavi. The recommendation for this winery came from Franco Martinetti.
