The Cornaiano wine cooperative was founded in 1923 in a historic 16th-century farm. At that time, 23 winegrowers laid the foundation for today's business. Modern cellar technology and optimal storage conditions for the wines are concealed behind these traditional walls and in the extensive cellar corridors. In 2010, the winery was modernized to meet today's technical requirements. Today there are around 200 winegrowing families who cultivate approx. 220 hectares of vineyards in the best locations of the Überetsch and Unterland with a lot of commitment and motivation. Cellar master Gerhard Kofler maintains close and personal contact with the winegrowers and advises them during the growing season. This exchange of experience is a very important basis for striving for the highest quality. The aim is, on the one hand, to highlight the historical grape varieties, and on the other hand, to produce wines with a strong character through the cultivation of international grape varieties, which are nonetheless linked to the territory. The illustrated labels are designed by the artist Paul Flora.
