In the village of Pachino near Sirakus a small typical flower, called Benuara, grows. She gave this strong wine its name. Sirakus is the southernmost part of Sicily, and the heat there is enormous. Great wines, which also have a certain elegance, are only produced in the higher regions. The grapes are harvested at the end of August. The wine matures for a short time in 2000 liter wooden barrels.
