This new wine in the portfolio is named after a vineyard of around 25 hectares, which is where the name comes from: A “Salma” means “Sarma” in Sicilian dialect, which corresponds to an area of 1.6 hectares. The Etna Rosso is aged in large, new wooden barrels made of French oak for around nine months after the must fermentation for around 20 days. A great wine from one of the highest quality Contrada, a single location on the northern slope of the Etna.
